MISSION
A place where your kids can learn, grow and be a part of our South East Asian Community. Enriching our kids with the arts, culture and language of India.

1. The goal of Namaste Kidz is to provide an opportunity for our children to discover their culture.
2. To provide a learning environment where children can meet and feel a sense of identity with Indian Culture.
3. To allow children the confidence to express their culture.

PURPOSE
1. Children of Indian origin that understand their cultural heritage will be able to share this knowledge with their American counterparts.
2. We hope that the children will grow up in the Indian tradition with their parents, and eventually pass it on to others.
3. When our children return to India on visits, they will feel at home there and enjoy their stay much more when they are familiar with Indian way of life.

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Nikki Sood Bhatia | Mom of 2 Boys
Sood attended UCLA, completing a formal course of study in Sociology and the Fine Arts. She received her Masters Degree in Graphic Design from San Francisco’s Academy of Art University. Her passions are playing with her kids, reading, listening to Indian and non-Indian music, American and Indian movies,volunteering and participating in charity events and anything that brings out her creativity! She brings a strong marketing and business background and currently lives in Southern California with her family.

Nikki immigrated to the US from London,England with her parents at the young age of four. Her parents exposed her to the Indian culture through movies, socializing with other Indian families and speaking Hindi & Punjabi but that was still not enough for her to be able to read or write. She always felt she was between the Indian & American cultures. Now married and living in Los Angeles with her own two boys she realized the need to pass on her Indian hertiage through language, dance, and music. Through this exposure she hopes to share this with you and your families for generations to come and hopes that there will a location near you in the future.

"For long time I have always wondered why  the "Indian Community" does not have an Indian School for kids in Los Angeles Why does the Armenian, Persian, Russian, Jewish and many other cultures have places to take their kids and teach them about their language,culture and more? I always wanted both my children to know how to speak, read and write Hindi and to be able to take a dance class or learn an Indian instrument with out having to travel to different locations...so the idea came to me to start a school like NamasteKidz.".
